Citizens National Bank Finalizes Merger with KNB

PAINTSVILLE, KY (July 27, 2007) Citizens National Bank today finalized its merger with Kentucky National Bank of Pikeville. The merger agreement approved by regulators and stockholders was originally announced in March 2007.
“The merger deepens our presence in the Pikeville community,” said Dennis Dorton, President/Chief Executive Officer of Citizens National Bank. “We now have three branches to more fully serve the Pikeville community, medical practitioners and business.” Dorton noted, “Convenience and easy access are what customers expect today.”
Prior to the merger, Citizens National Bank had one branch in the area. Now there will be three Citizens locations in the Pikeville market.
